As
I had already being doing energy and healing work naturally before getting any
formal initiations and training I was somewhat at a loss regarding both the
confining attitudes and restrictive training presented as part of the Reiki
system when I was guided to do it. The presentation and approach seemed to me to
be at odds with a true spiritual path, which should be promoting change,
openness and creativity. The lack of some of these qualities was confirmed not
long after my second initiation when I was politely (shall we say) sent to
Coventry by the particular Reiki people whom I had been working with. They, it
seemed could not handle anyone who was free within themselves to channel
energies other than there’s - such is life.
As
Reiki was (I have no idea if this is true now) regarded as a somewhat essential
rubber stamp to ones presentation of energy work I was left feeling a little
lost by this episode. However within a few months someone who asked for a
healing from me and who could feel the quality of what I was working with rather
than making an assumption in this regard because of a name or particular
presentation offered to give me the Mastership level. Many people seem to need a
certificate and others assurance that there is an attachment to a particular
energy system before they can endorse it.
This
offer however, still left me puzzled. One the one hand, it felt right and I was
being very strongly guided to do this while on the other I realised that my
energies and connections with 'them upstairs' was such that I could initiate
myself as a Reiki Master. I appreciate that this statement would have many Reiki
masters apoplectic, however whatever their conditioned reactions are to
perceived truths it does not reduce the fact that many accepted truths are myth
and that my statement here is the truth. I was also puzzled, because I was
looking for what would give me a much better alignment with what I was focused
on achieving and this had been amply demonstrated to be lacking within this
particular system. So, why was I being guided to do this initiation?
Puzzled
but following and trusting what I felt was right, I went for the initiation. It
came as no surprise then, that the person initiating me although (like many) was
glued to the ‘R’ word had in fact had many unusual initiations with regards
paths that have a much greater spiritual focus than Reiki. It was these energies
that I was here for and not the Reiki ones. It should also be said that my
‘trainer’ had past life negative entity attachments and situations dealt
with and stripped off at the rate of about one every five minutes over the three
days that we worked with each other. Not surprising as this is what I had been
consciously doing with myself for months before having this meeting. So, she got
the energies that she needed from me and I got (via a formal Reiki style
initiation what I needed from her).
A
few days later while working with a training group focused on personal
empowerment and self mastership, it was pointed out to me that I had a negative
energy cap sealing off my crown which was trying to prevent me from accessing
higher levels. As I had removed one of these from myself before the initiating
weekend then I was very surprised that another one had turned up so fast. This
item, it was determined had been placed there as part of the Reiki energies of
the initiation, this was to try and keep me aligned (or more accurately glued
and attached) to this energy system. This apparently happens at the mastership
level. This explains why many who start off with Reiki find it so hard to move
beyond it. So, I not only removed this cap, but also disconnected myself from
ALL the Reiki energies and Reiki support teams (about 20 minutes work) – you
could say that I de-initiated myself. Again from the perspective of Reiki people
this is an impossibility and of course it is both if you believe it and don’t
have either the energy levels or higher level connections and consciousness to
support doing it.
What
I say here about a particular energy system is of course my own experience and
it must be placed in the context of a framework of time (it happened in 1997)
and of me having a focus to move as fast as is possible into UNITY without
causing myself irreversible damage. When you hold to this focus – then
everything will and MUST be presented to you that is not in alignment with this
movement so that you can let it go and move on. Relying on others peoples stated
or perceived alignment or making assumptions about what others say or believe or
present to you as the truth rather than relying on your own motivation,
determination, focus and perseverance will not get you far.
Commentary: Although
this was the most extreme example of the dodgy alignment of so called spiritual
energy systems the 'R' word system is not the exception but the norm. If you
assume that all approaches are limited then you will not go far wrong. People
don't seem to be able to handle the fact that everything is supposed to be
changing and progressing and ALL (including the approach that I present here)
express limitation and will continue to do so until a full movement in made by
those involved.
- These situations were a
reminder that you have to generate your own motivation, focus and alignment
and don't assume that what you hear is the truth, no matter how well
meaning the people are who speak it.
- For those with a strong
focus to evolve then this often has us guided not to what is aligned but
what isn't so that we can move on from it and deal with any parts within
ourselves that resonate in the same way.
- I have just re-written
the first level training manual of my own approach completely for the 7th
time in four years. It now not only bears no relation to the last manual in
any respect but would be unrecognizable as something with any connection to
the first written. This is as it should be.
- A popular myth given out
with many energy systems is that once initiated you are stuck with the
energy connections for life. This is true unless you make it not true. For
this to be said of an energy system means that the energies and Beings
responsible for that system make the assumption that there is nothing that
can supersede what has been given - i.e. there will be no change or
movement. Which is of course wonderful if all you want is to stay the same
and not actually spiritually grow? Do you understand this? A truly
spiritual system would make further movements easy by providing information
and the ability to help you disconnect from any and all energies that you
have now out grown.
